We successfully purchased this site freehold and secured planning permission for 40 homes as part of the North Hertfordshire Local Plan for housing. This site was subsequently sold to CALA Homes, contributing to Hitchin’s growing residential development.
Notably, 40% of the homes are classed as affordable, and the development plans include air source heat pumps for each residence, a children’s play area, new pedestrian routes to open spaces, biodiversity enhancements, and the provision of electric vehicle charging points.
In this development, we were able to strike a pleasing balance between strategic land acquisition and environmental stewardship; helping to create modern, sustainable homes that benefit the local community.
